Good morning! Happy Valentines day! Lucky me just got back from a fabulous trip to Mardi Gras! Our first time and it was a BLAST!!!!!!!!!! I'm tired and exhausted and will share more later.but since today is Valentines day I wanted to share with you my last project!! A little treat box. So simple to do. Job restates what he has said before, that death is final and that the dead return no more to this existence. Here, by mention of waiting for God’s wrath to pass, and a set time for being in the grave, is a reminder of not only resurrection but of the translation, or rapture in popular parlance, of the church. All photographs in this post courtesy of Nate Clark and Darryn Petersen. They sent some photographs from their workshop recently, where they are working on milling the pieces for our staircase restoration. The images are beautiful, and we thought we would share them. It was clearly a replacement for the original system, possibly multiple times over. Its blocky, stout, robust lines were out of character with the elegance of the center hall, and the descending natural light that you experience as you climb. For all of these reasons, though it is an investment, we decided to start over with the staircase, and restore it with a system typical of the Federal period. There are a few good examples in homes in the area that Nate and Darryn have worked on in the past, and after a site visit we saw the design and character that we'll love. Two brothers who were kayaking in Canyon Lake on Saturday have drown. Their bodies have been sent for autopsy. They were reported missing Saturday night when they failed to return home on time. The Earp brothers bodies were located near the Canyon Lake Dam. According to San Antonio news reports, recreational boaters were the first to find them. Both Larry and Tanner were residents of Kyle, Texas located in Hays County. No other information is available at this time. They ring hollow when faced with the facts on the ground in Cuba and in the rest of Latin America. Healthcare, despite the propaganda is a disaster in Cuba with a two tiered system that benefits the elite and foreigners with hard currency and a disaster for the average Cuban. Happy Friday! This week it has really felt like spring, and it is crazy how much different everyone's attitudes have been. One of the topics that I strive to make sure my students know before heading to Kindergarten is their phone number and address. For me, these two things help children feel just a little more confident about making such a big change. When they get on a bus, they can be sure that they will make it safely home because they know what their address is.
Kindergarten brings more independence, but knowing your phone number means that a child can always get in touch with a parent if they need them.I developed this freebie to help teach children their phone number and address in a way that feels like play, not memorization.
Finally the fountains are turned on again.when I see this image, I think of that song. I have always wanted a pair of boots like that, problem is I am short so they don't look or fit right on me. I am too much of an Irish whitey to do such a thing. I will stay somewhat nice and white. I was in Florida recently. There are a lot of professional tanners there. Not sure it's a good look for people. Some old timers are really freaky looking. They're funny to draw though. I know I am going to piss off some people by this, but hey - maybe they can help me and readers have a better understanding. Fer real. Why is it that the US Embassy allows people to park willy-nilly-as-you-please in their lot? I park correctly - what the F? I give those "keyfi" people dirty looks when I see them doing that.
