A Stock island man was arrested Friday, charged with stealing cash from inside a Stock Island business.m. He is seen on video getting a drink from a water fountain, then walking to a cash drawer and removing cash, putting it into his pocket. The manager of the fish house called the Sheriff’s Office when he discovered the money missing. He said he’d left the business, walking to his recreational vehicle, which was parked nearby. He said he saw Caridad drive up as he was walking to his RV. He said he was in his RV for a short time and, when he exited the RV, he saw Caridad walking out of the business. He said he told Caridad he wasn’t allowed inside the business when he wasn’t there. Caridad then left the area and that is when the manager discovered the money missing. .
